Building Sanctuary Through Community Support

We are incredibly grateful to B&Q, through Neighbourly.com, for awarding Salisbury Women’s Refuge a generous grant that has enabled us to carry out a transformative DIY project in our garden space.

With this support, we’ve been able to refresh and repair key areas of our outdoor environment—bringing in essential tools and materials including paint, jet washing services, a lawnmower, and supplies for structural repairs. The project has not only improved the physical space but has also created a more welcoming, peaceful, and therapeutic environment for the women and children who rely on our refuge.

Outdoor spaces play a vital role in recovery and wellbeing, offering a safe place to relax, reflect, and reconnect with nature. Thanks to this grant, our garden is now a brighter, cleaner, and more functional space that supports healing and hope.
